it's so nice to meet you!

my name is Dominique pajaro

Growing up, I told people that I wanted to be an artist. The first art medium that I fell in love with at a very early age was drawing and painting. All I ever wanted to do was draw and create artwork. In High School, I took this hobby more seriously, as I narrowed down my interest to portrait drawings. Using graphite, charcoal, or oil, drawing portraits became one of my biggest passions.

During my early teen years, my dad let me use his Cannon 5D Mark III camera. It was the first professional camera I have ever used. Always being interested in photography and taking photos of my friends, I naturally took this camera everywhere with me. I captured photos of High School dances, and styled shoots for my friends.

Fast forward, and I graduated college in 2023 from University of California, Davis with a degree in landscape architecture with an emphasis in fine art. UC Davis is also where I started my "little business" of taking grad photos. However, this wasn't a "little" business at all like I originally intended. With hardly any photos in my portfolio, I managed to book over 50 sessions my first year taking photos in Davis. Being extremely thankful but also in shock, I immediately upgraded my gear and made it my mission to improve my skills and make my clients experience the best it could possibly be.

Come graduation time, doing what I thought was my only option, I worked in the land development industry for almost three years. I felt accomplished that I was using my degree, however, something was missing. The spark that I felt when I ran my photography business just wasn't there at my corporate job. Saddened and lost, I knew I needed to redirect my career path. I remembered what I have always been passionate about, which is creating art. I realized that the feeling I got when I made people look and feel beautiful was something I couldn’t walk away from.

I worked so hard to build up my reputation as a photographer in a new city, and I have met so many amazing people along my journey. It got to the point where photography became my main job, and my corporate job became my side hustle. That's when I knew that it was time to take the leap of faith and become a full-time photographer.

It is my passion to make your vision come to life. I absolutely love what I do, and I have every one of you who believed in my vision to credit that to.
